The requests tab in the monitoring dashboard is where connector access requests wait for a decision.
When someone can configure a connector but can't share it themselves, they can request the access they want and send it for approval. Those pending requests land here, so the people who can share a connector have one place to approve them, and requesters have one place to track their own.
Where these requests come from
A connector holds the credentials for an outside tool, so who can use it matters. Only a user with the connector sharer permission (or a tenant admin) can change who can access it. If you can edit a connector but aren't a sharer, you aren't simply blocked: you can compose the access you'd like, add a note, and submit it for approval from the connector's access tab. That creates a pending share request.
Each request records the connector, who asked, and the exact grants proposed (which people or groups should get which connector role). Nothing changes on the connector until a reviewer approves.
Note: The requests tab covers connector access only. Other kinds of share request don't appear here.
Opening the requests tab
Open monitoring from the left sidebar, then select the requests tab. What you see depends on your access:
Your own requests. Anything you've submitted and are waiting on.
Requests you can review. Requests for connectors you can share, meaning you hold the sharer role on that specific connector, or you're a tenant admin.
Note: Being able to "share connectors you create" at the account level isn't the same thing. That permission governs your own connectors, not reviewing requests on connectors someone else owns, so it doesn't surface other people's requests here.
Read the list
Each row shows three columns:
Request. The connector, with the requester's avatar on its logo and "Connector access" underneath.
From. Who submitted the request.
When. How long ago it came in. Hover to see the exact date and time.
You can sort by any of these columns, search by connector or requester name, and filter by "Requested by" to focus on one person's requests. Select a request to open the connector's access tab, where you can see the full proposal and any note before you decide.
Act on a request
Open the menu at the end of a row to choose what happens next. Your options depend on whether the request is yours.
Approve (on requests you can review) applies the proposed access to the connector and clears the request. By default this is additive: it grants what was asked and never removes access someone else already had.
Dismiss (on requests you can review) removes the request without changing any access. Use it when the request shouldn't go ahead.
Cancel request (on your own requests) withdraws a request you submitted. Only you can cancel your own request.
If you want to adjust a proposal rather than accept it as-is, review it from the connector's access tab. A reviewer can trim grants, downgrade a role, or add access that wasn't originally requested before approving.
Once a request is approved, dismissed, or canceled, it's resolved and disappears from the tab for everyone.
Good to know
Approvals still respect your permissions. You can only approve requests for connectors you're allowed to share, and the resulting access is validated the same way a direct change would be.
A resubmission replaces your last one. If you send a fresh request for the same connector, it replaces your own earlier pending request, and it never disturbs anyone else's request for that connector.
Nothing happens automatically. A request sits in the tab until someone approves, dismisses, or cancels it, so access is never granted without a reviewer's decision.
