Follow 3B is a productivity feature designed to keep you synchronized with Tines 3B, as it works. When enabled, your workflow view automatically navigates to the specific step, file, or execution Tines 3B is currently modifying, ensuring you never lose your place while Tines 3B builds your workflows.
Why use follow 3B?
Real-time observation: Watch Tines 3B build workflows step-by-step to better understand its decision-making process.
Learning & debugging: Observe how Tines 3B structures workflows and handles file organization to learn best practices or catch potential issues as they are created.
What follow 3B tracks
When active, the feature monitors Tines 3B's activity in real-time, automatically updating your view when:
Tines 3B changes steps: Your view follows 3B as it moves between different workflow steps.
Tines 3B edits files: If Tines 3B makes changes to a specific file, your screen updates to show that file.
Tines 3B runs executions: If Tines 3B executes a step, the view automatically jumps to the latest execution result so you don't stay stuck on an old run.
How to enable follow 3B
You can activate follow 3B in three ways:
Keyboard shortcut: Press Command + Shift + G (⌘⇧G). There is currently no Windows shortcut
Status indicator: Click the status indicator located directly in the chat panel.
Default preference: In preference settings, toggle on "Follow 3B by default" to have it enabled automatically for new chats.
Visual indicators
To help you know when you are actively following 3B, look for the following visual cues:
Rainbow border: When you are following 3B and it is currently building, the workflow panel will display an animated rainbow border.
Toast notification: You will see a "Following 3B" toast notification at the top of your view. This notification includes a "Stop" button that allows you to quickly disable the feature at any time.
Proactive nudging: If you are new to a chat, you may see a "Follow 3B ⌘⇧G" tooltip appear briefly to suggest enabling the feature.
Managing the feature
Automatic deactivation: If you manually navigate to a different step or file, Follow 3B will automatically turn off. This ensures the feature respects your manual input and doesn't conflict with your work.
Manual deactivation: You can stop following at any time by clicking the "Stop following" button on the toast notification or by pressing ⌘⇧G again.
